This week's newsletter highlights opportunities for ministries for and with youth and families:

There is also an opportunity for you to share photos of your vibrant local ministries with the Annual Conference Session in June.  Deadline for submissions is May 1st.

On our hearts today is the UM Judicial Council hearing on the legitimacy of the election of Bishop Karen Oliveto.  Many of you may have already seen the video of a press conference following that hearing today in which our Bishop Elaine Stanovsky and Bishop Oliveto both spoke.

The tie-in to the theme of today's newsletter has to do with loving whole people. Messy Church family ministry is about welcoming families as they are and letting them know of God's love for them.  The Bend Youth Collective Ministry's theme is "We Love You Already," and they are explicit about welcoming all youth: "BYC is a sanctuary for every teenager." At the press conference, both Bishop Stanovsky and Bishop Oliveto spoke of the harm the church has done to LGTBQI persons, and of the alternative understanding they have of God's love for all.  It was very moving. If you haven't yet seen the video, here is the link.

Christ is risen!  Christ is risen indeed!  And we have been empowered to share that abundant life with all!
