Camp Magruder Welcomes Baby Aura!

Camp Magruder is excited to announce the newest addition to their family. Aura Rosina Taylor was born May 17 to Allyson and Troy Taylor. Allyson is serving as Registrations Coordinator and Troy as Camp Director.

Aura will be the latest in the great history of camp kids who have called Magruder home.

While Allyson and Troy take leave, Melinda Trotti will serve as Interim Director, so look for her if you visit Magruder in the early summer. Melinda has a long history in United Methodist Camping having served at ACA accredited sites across the country. Her work has brought her in touch with day camps, refugees, farm workers’ children, and foster care youth. We are excited to have her experience and wisdom as the summer begins.

Allyson and Troy feel blessed that Aura will begin her life surrounded by such a large, diverse, caring family. Share with us in joy and prayer as this new life begins.

Camp Latgawa Heading into Gray Foundation Final Push!!!

As has been reported, Camp and Retreat Ministries is honored to have been selected for the Gray Family Foundation's Camp Maintenance Grant. Thank you to all who have contributed thus far!!

To date, $10,200 has been raised, leaving only $7,300 to go!

The Gray Family has asked that Latgawa raise $17,500 towards needed maintenance projects (cash donations, in-kind gifts, and gifts of labor all count).  The foundation will then match every $1 donated with $2!

If you've already done the math, $52,500 represents a huge boost to infrastructure maintenance needs for our Southern Oregon facilities!

Due to Road Conditions, Sawtooth Memorial Day Work Party Cancelled

The Memorial Day Work Party is CANCELLED for this year because of the excessive snowload this past winter ... road conditions into the camp are such that we only have limited the access to the camp until AFTER June 1st.

If your family would like to enjoy a weekend up at Sawtooth Camp, the Sawtooth Family Camp (June 16-18) will be a wonderful time to enjoy the mountains! Click on the link above to register: select the FAMILY / MULTI-GENERATIONAL CAMPS and then look for Sawtooth Family Camp.
