Vol.6 Issue 5.2 - corrected

OOPS!  I sent this out yesterday without doing a thorough proof.  The late fee for members registering online May 31-June 6 is $50 and the late fee if you don't register until the event is $75.  I apologize for the error.  I have corrected it below. Either way, it is best to register online by May 30th.-- Linda

The 2017 Annual Conference Session is four weeks away!  It seems like the focus of the District and Conference staff is honing in on all that will happen when we gather at The Red Lion on the River in Portland, June 14-17.  Please see below for related content for both members and for regular folks!

But our ministry is both more local and more wide spread than our annual meeting.  You may find inspiration and tools for ministry with families -- of all kinds -- in your community through the Messy Church program.  If you've missed prior trainings, you have another opportunity on Friday, May 26th at Nehalem Bay UMC on the north Oregon Coast.

And there are opportunities later this summer after the AC Session that reflect the breadth of our life together. Get these on your calendar now, and maybe even sign up!

Blessings,

Linda Grund-Clampit
Cascadia District Administrative Assistant

Information Sessions on new Conference Health Insurance Proposal

The Conference Board of Pensions is inviting Clergy, Lay Members of Annual Conference, and any other interested church leaders to attend informational gatherings to learn about the 2018 health insurance offerings proposed by the Board of Pensions. This proposal will be voted on at the AC Session in June.

The informational gatherings will provide updates on the cost of providing insurance, how these charges are passed on to churches, and what plans will be available to participants.

Cost projections will be available to allow participants to begin planning for their selection in November.

A session will be held in Eugene on May 17
