APPOINTMENT ANNOUNCEMENTS

Bishop Elaine Stanovsky intends to make the following appointments, effective, July 1, 2018, in order to empower the Wesley United Methodist Church in Eugene, Oregon to pursue a new ministry call “Bold New Season”:

• Rev. Karlene Clark to Bold New Season as a quarter-time appointment while continuing her appointment to Wesley UMC three-quarter time.
• Rev. Josh Clark will also be appointed quarter-time to Bold New Season. He is currently appointed to Wesley UMC quarter-time.
• Rev. Roberta Egli to Wesley UMC as associate pastor. Egli’s appointment will be quarter-time while she continues her extension ministry with Messy Church on a three-quarter time basis.

Financial support for Bold New Season positions will come from the Congregational Development Team of the Oregon-Idaho Annual Conference with coaching from the Innovation Team of the Greater Northwest Area.

Bishop Elaine Stanovsky also has announced the appointment, effective July 1, 2018 of Rev. Deena Wolfe to Valley United Methodist Church in Veneta, Oregon. Deena will serve Veneta half-time. She currently serves Monroe UMC quarter-time.
 
In addition, District Superintendent Rev. John Tucker announced the assignment of Teri Watanabe as a lay person assigned to Monroe United Methodist Church in Monroe, Oregon. Watanabe currently serves Valley UMC in Veneta half-time.
 
Wolfe and Watanabe will continue working in partnership as they serve these Willamette Valley communities.
