APPOINTMENT ANNOUNCEMENTS

Bishop Elaine JW Stanovsky announces her intention to make the following appointments in the Oregon-Idaho Conference, effective July 1, 2020:

• Pastor Rebecca Patterson as pastor of Dallas UMC. Patterson is a licensed local pastor who is currently serving Astoria First UMC in the Oregon-Idaho Annual Conference and Grays River UMC in the Pacific Northwest Annual Conference.  She previously served First UMC in Ontario, Oregon and Payette UMC in Payette, Idaho. Rev. Quinton Kimbrow, who currently serves Dallas UMC, is planning to retire in July.
   
• Rev. Brian Mackey as pastor of Woodburn UMC, effective July 1, 2020. Mackey is an ordained elder in the Church of the Nazarene.  Mackey is working with the Conference Board of Ordained Ministry to transfer his ministry credentials to The UMC. He has served in Nazarene congregations in Nome, Alaska, in Boise, San Francisco, and in Dallas, Oregon.
   
• Rev. Karen Shimer as half-time pastor of Carus UMC. She will also be appointed half-time at Marquam UMC. She has been serving Canby UMC for the past 10 years.
