We are announcing the intended appointment for the Alaska, Oregon-Idaho and Pacific Northwest Conferences this week. Clear appointment openings, those open due to retirements and other changes, are updated regularly on the Greater Northwest Area website.

There are no appointments to announce this week for the Alaska Conference.

Bishop Cedrick D. Bridgeforth intends to appoint Rev. Kalina Malua Katoa to serve Trinity United Methodist Church in Toledo, Oregon, effective July 1, 2023.

Pastor Malua Katoa is a provisional elder in the Oregon-Idaho Conference currently serving as a pastor in the Open Door Churches of Salem-Keizer, Oregon. Her new appointment to Trinity UMC Toledo will be half-time.

Bishop Cedrick D. Bridgeforth intends to appoint the Rev. Hannah Andres as Pastor of Moran United Methodist Church in Spokane, Washington, beginning July 1, 2023.

Rev. Andres is a graduate of Claremont School of Theology. It was previously announced that Rev. Cody Natland, Moran UMC's current pastor, will begin an appointment to Ellensburg UMC in July.

Bishop Cedrick D. Bridgeforth intends to appoint the Rev. Gregory Reffner as pastor of Tracyton United Methodist Church in Bremerton, Washington, beginning July 1, 2023.

Rev. Reffner is a provisional elder in the Great Plains Annual Conference, where he anticipates ordination on June 9, 2023. He will serve Tracyton half-time while also continuing at Brownsville UMC half-time. It was previously announced that Rev. Susan Griggs, Tracyton UMC's current pastor, will begin an appointment to Seabold UMC in July.
