General Conference News Update
May 20, 2016
What happened Friday:
General Conference concluded on schedule tonight. Some legislation was left unattended to, but the majority of items made it to the conference floor.
Among those not dealt with were the items dealing with human sexuality. Part of the College of Bishop's plan for a special commission set those items aside.
Today I helped write and present a video version of the United Methodist News Service daily update. So I'll let that serve as tonight's update.
On behalf of the Oregon-Idaho Delegation, and all volunteers at General Conference, I want to thank you for the prayers and support that you have given to those working in Portland. It's an honor to serve on behalf of the annual conference.
Greg Nelson, Director of Communications

Here's a link to the text version of the UMNS wrap-up for May 20. It has links to key issues of the day.
Also, our friends in the Pacific Northwest have a wonderful news site.
